Grand Knight’s Message
Hello members of K of C 3410,
I’m glad to have the opportunity to serve our council as our new Grand Knight. I have had so many people that have offered to help and so many others that accepted my request to help. Thank you all so much! It could take us a bit to get accustomed to this, as some people are in new roles, but we will get there, for certain.
I want to thank the 23 donors that came out to our Red Cross Blood drive in our hall on June 17. We filled about half of the time slots and we may look to do another in the fall. The Red Cross was happy with the turnout. If we do it again, let’s see if we can get a few more folks to sign up, please.
On June 27, the Silver Rose pilgrimage was hosted by St. Paul Parish. This particular rose’s journey started in Ontario, Canada in February and will continue through the U.S. and reach its final destination in Monterrey, Mexico in early December.
Also on the 27th, we held our second Steak Out for this summer. Can you believe this is the 11th year? Time sure does fly. Thanks go out to Dave DeShane, Shawn Needham, Damian Sedlock and the core group of helpers that put it together. We had 72 friends in attendance. We have another steak out planned for August, so watch for more details in next month’s newsletter and emails.
On June 28, we hosted speaker Dr. Francesca Taylor of the Italian Catholic Federation. She spoke about four Catholic saints, provided photos and descriptions of some shrines and holy sites in Italy. Some shrines and other places of interest were off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Thanks to Brother Dave Doyle for setting that up.
Be good everyone! (I liked Steve’s sign off, so I’m keeping it)

3410 Chaplain News
Our council chaplain, Fr. Matthew Pfeiffer, has announced that his pastorate at St. Paul Parish has been renewed for an additional six years. We are very fortunate that he had stepped into the vacant role since the passing of Fr. Smith. Thank you, Fr. Pfeiffer, for your time and interactions with our council. You are appreciated!
June’s Charitable Donations
In the month of June, our council made donations to the Embrace Clinic, St. Paul- Peter Maurin Center and to a single mother of 4 who was hospitalized for nearly a month. The total of the donations was $900.
